Hi and welcome to another post in my blog

Last week I had a chance to take a sightseeing fly above the southern part of Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony). The flight lasted 1 hour 37 minutes and took us from Peine/Eddesse (EDVP) to Hildesheim, the Deister, southern Hannover along the Mittellandkanal to Braunschweig and back to Peine along the Autobahn A2.

At the beginnning I did some plane spotting at Peine Airfield, here are the results:

- Private - Schweizer 269C - D-HHEX

- Private - Reims-Cessna F337F Super Skymaster - D-GMCM

- Charter Air - Socata TB-200 Tobago XL - Reg.: D-EVON

Our Aircraft for this flight, build in 1978 as line number: 172-71629
- Charter Air - Cessna 172N Skyhawk - Reg.: D-EFLB

First our flight took us to Mehrum Power Station

Then we passed the little Airport of Hildesheim

on our way to the beautiful castle Marienburg

Afterwards we crossed the little city of Pattensen (Sorry, no photo available) and we turned to Hannover and passed the Hannover Fairground,

crossed the southside of the Maschsee with its bathing beach

and passed the Zoo Hannover (Middle), Hannover Congress Centrum (HCC) (lower left) and the Eilenriedestadion (lower right)

We left Hannover via its borough Anderten with its Hindenburg Lock

passed over the Justizvollzugsanstalt Sehnde, a large and modern Jail

and then on to Braunschweig, where we flew directly over the city

and were able to see the St. Martini Church

and the Schloss Arkaden Shopping Center

After the flight above the city of Braunschweig we crossed Braunschweig Airport

and then returned to the airfield of Peine/Eddesse

Thanks for watching.

Christian.
